Originally by: Aasimartwo A fail fit passive drake, regardless of the missile type, will have a cap issue. A drake with all shield power relays in the lows no cap to run a single invul.
A single medium neut will do nothing since it uses no cap at all.

This means we need to know the engagement rules (do you start at 0km from one another or do you have to close the gap? If you start at 0km I am going to say do not fit a MWD for example).
You cannot win with a standard fit though, the Drake is simply better designed for 1v1 brawling.
Assuming you start in blaster range this fit will probably win.

A well fit and flown drake can easily kill a poorly flown/fit myrm. Killing poorly flown/fit ships its hardly a challange.
Like McDaddy said against a Brutix: all the advantages for the drake. Against a Myrm we have a figth.

In solo PVP you need to do 3 things: 1. catch prey - need mobility and lock speed 2. beat prey - gank and tank or signature tanking 3. run away before reinforcements arrive - mobility
... Drakes are terrible for solo PVP ... Brutix can do okay
Now please explain why a brutix its ok when the drake its better at 1, 2 and 3.
Also tell wich batlecruise can perform like a interceptor, so the reference to the taranis become clear.

Imagine how much less confusion there would be in this thread if folks made clear what they actually meant by "passive drake".
Its confusing exactly because some people want to give 'passive' a diferent meaning than the original one(based in the passive recharge of shields). Hardeners using cap or not dont change the principle that kind of tank works. For the same reason we dont have 'passive boost/rep tank' and 'active boos/rep tank'.

But that would be up to you guys to decide . . .
Kinetic resist = 87%
Who is cheating now?
Quote: If he is in a HAM drake and not dealing Kinetic Damage, he is seriously nerfing his DPS. So he should be dealing kinetic . . .
However his nerfed DPS will hit at your overnerfed resistences. So dont be surprised if he deal a diferent damage type.
